Throughout the portal, you'll likely notice words in square brackets, like this: [ExampleMergeField]. These are merge fields where the content will dynamically and automatically populate based on the variables. If you accidentally delete these fields, you can simply re-type them, remembering to include the square brackets that enclose the merge field names. For example: [ProgramName]
Here's a list of all of the merge fields and what they mean:
- [ProgramName] - the name of your referral program (e.g. RewardStream Refer A Friend)
- [CompanyName] - your company name (e.g. RewardStream)
- [AccountNumberName] - the name for your account identifier, for non-eCommerce programs (e.g. Account Number)
- [MemberSiteUrl] - the URL of your referral program (e.g. https://rewardstream.rstrm.com)
- [PURL] - the ending for the referrer / member's referral link (e.g. /a1b2c3d4)
- [FirstName] - the member's first name (e.g. John)
- [LastName] - the member's last name (e.g. Smith)
- [EmailAddress] - the member's email address (e.g. johnsmith@gmail.com)
- [ReferrerFullName] - the member's full name (e.g. John Smith)
- [RefereeFullName] - the referee's full name (e.g. Jane Doe)
- [RewardList] - the list of rewards that were earned. This is only applicable for the Referral Reward Email (Referrer) email template and Referral Reward Email (Referee) email template
- [UserGoodsItems] - the list of rewards that were fulfilled. This is only applicable for the Reward Fulfillment email template
- [DenialReason] - the reason the referral or reward was denied. This is only applicable for the Referral Denial email templates and Reward Denial email templates
